Making a Great Event Better: The TC3 Summit

If your telecom carrier is investing in the newest and most innovative companies bringing technology to the market, they were likely at the Telecom Council's TC3 Summit, held mid-October, 2018 in Santa Clara, California.

VIP Audio Visual was privileged to once again provide the A/V services for this event. Hosted at Juniper Networks' conference venue, the full service facility provides excellent built in sound, lighting, and video recording capabilities. VIP augmented the existing setup with custom graphics on a 60'x12' seamless projection screen, and overall management of the event.

Our production team worked with the events team at TC3 on extensive pre-production for this event. Every conference presenter took the stage underneath a custom motion title, showing their name, company, and professional headshot wrapped in TC3 branding. Transitions between sessions were punctuated by beautiful motion backgrounds which took over the entire screen, colored to match conference branding and highlighting upcoming subject matter.

These pre-produced elements were combined onscreen with the slide decks provided by presenters and IMAG video, creating an integrated visual display which made the most of the unique screen.

The TC3 program consisted of panel discussions and keynote talks, punctuated by "pitch sessions" where technology startups made a 5-minute presentation about their product to telecom and wireless providers from around the world. The rapid-fire pace of the talks meant a huge volume of PowerPoint, PDF and Keynote presentations which our graphics team seamlessly managed throughout the event: a total of 62 presentations in two days!

In all, it took a 12-person live production crew to create this event. The normal show positions were augmented by operators responsible for the seamless screen layouts, A2 and A3 positions, camera switching, robo-cam operators, and more. The blended team of VIP crew and Juniper's in-house crew worked together to fill specific roles, each one contributing to producing another great event for our client!
